Government information

Terms and conditions

The terms that apply when using govll.org and its public information and services.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

These terms apply when you use govll.org. By continuing to use the website, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, please stop using and leave the website.

About this website

govll.org is the official central website of the Government of Links Land. It provides public information, documents, news and routes to government services. Service-specific forms or websites may have additional terms, which will apply alongside these terms.

Using government information

We aim to keep information accurate and current, but government information may be corrected or updated. General website content is not legal, financial or professional advice. For the authoritative text and status of legislation, use the official legislation service and check any commencement, amendment or repeal information.

Permitted use

You may browse, link to, print and quote public pages for lawful personal, educational, journalistic or non-commercial purposes, provided that you identify the source, do not materially misrepresent the content and do not suggest government endorsement. Separate copyright, licence or reuse notices on a document take priority. Third-party material, personal data, official emblems and logos are not licensed merely because they appear on this website.

You must not

  • attempt unauthorised access to an account, server, administrative area or data;
  • interfere with the website, overload it, bypass security controls or introduce malicious code;
  • impersonate another person or government body, or use the website for fraud or unlawful activity;
  • submit content you do not have authority to provide, or knowingly submit false or misleading information; or
  • use automated collection in a way that degrades the service, defeats access controls or breaches applicable law.

Accounts and credentials

If you receive an account, you are responsible for keeping its username, password and recovery information confidential. Do not forward credential emails or share access. Tell the Government promptly if credentials may be compromised. We may disable or suspend an account to protect the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or when access is no longer required.

Forms, applications and submissions

You are responsible for checking that information you submit is complete and accurate and that you have authority to provide it. Submission does not guarantee approval, create an entitlement or mean that a request has been accepted. Government records may need to be retained even if you later ask for deletion.

External services

Some links lead to other govll.org services managed by the Government; others, including Discord, lead to third-party services. A link does not make the Government responsible for a third party's content, security, availability or privacy practices, and does not imply endorsement. The website displays a warning before opening another domain.

Availability and changes

We may maintain, change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version.

Responsibility

We take reasonable care in operating the website. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Government is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by reliance on general website content, temporary unavailability, malicious third-party activity or an external website. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits any mandatory statutory right.

Privacy, cookies and service statistics

Our privacy notice explains how personal information is used, including how ordinary server request logs from govll.org are processed by the Royal Office of Digital Infrastructure (RODI) into aggregate operational statistics on the restricted stats.govll.org service. Our cookie notice lists the essential cookies and local storage used by this website. These server-side statistics do not rely on an advertising or analytics cookie. Requests are combined into aggregate statistics rather than used to create named visitor profiles; confidential raw logs are restricted to authorised personnel and normally retained for no more than 14 days. The first-visit notice is an acknowledgement of these essential operations, not consent to optional tracking.

Law and disputes

Within the fiction of this project, these terms are presented as being governed by the laws of Links Land. For all real-world legal purposes, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be resolved under that law. Any mandatory consumer, privacy or other protection that applies in the country where you use the service is not displaced by these terms. Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve a concern.

Contact

Contact the Government of Links Land at Government Offices, Tentincon, Links Land, or email info@govll.org.

Citizenship applications

Submitting an application asks the Government of Links Land to consider the applicant for citizenship. Submission does not create citizenship, guarantee approval, establish a decision deadline or require the Government to accept an application. The Government may request clarification, reject incomplete or abusive submissions, or pause a decision where further review is required.

Accuracy and authority

The applicant must provide information they reasonably believe is accurate and must not impersonate another person. Discord and Roblox usernames may be entered as “Not applicable”. Applicants must not submit identity documents or another person's personal information unless an authorised official has requested it through an appropriate secure process and the applicant has lawful authority to provide it.

Electronic declaration and signature

Drawing a signature and submitting the form records the applicant's intention to sign the displayed declaration electronically. For this application process, it has the same internal effect as signing that declaration by hand. It is an acknowledgement of the declaration, not proof of identity, not consent to unrelated data processing and not a waiver of any mandatory legal or data-protection right. The Government may seek additional confirmation before making a decision.

Privacy and withdrawal

The citizenship application section of the privacy notice forms part of these terms. Before a decision, an applicant may request withdrawal by contacting info@govll.org and quoting the submission reference. Information already needed for security, legal compliance or accountable record-keeping may still be retained as explained in the privacy notice.

Age restriction

You must be at least 13 years old to submit any form, application or personal information through this website, including the citizenship application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. By submitting a form, you confirm that you are 13 or older.

If we become aware that someone under 13 has submitted personal information, we will not process or act on the submission beyond an automatically generated confirmation of receipt, and we will delete the information as soon as reasonably practicable. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@govll.org so we can remove it.
